Q. I have found a course/programme I would like to study, how do I apply?

A. If you go to the host organisation programme pages (links are within our course and programme finder) this will give you details on how to apply. 

Q. How do I find out the tuition fees for my selected study?

A. Fee details are available on the host organisation pages. You can access them here: Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, UvA, VU Bachelor’s programmesVU Master’s programmes.

Q. What background knowledge will I need?

A. This varies depending on the course and programme selected, you can find more detailed information in the course and programme overview, or by clicking on the link which will take you to the relevant University pages.

Q. What joint University programmes do you offer?

A. There are a range of joint programmes available, e.g., Master’s in Computational Science (joint degree). In the programme overview it tells you which organisation(s) coordinate the programme. 

Q. Are all programmes in English?

A. The majority of programmes are in English. However, at the Bachelor level there are studies which are given in Dutch only. Our faceted search tool allows you to search according to your language preference. 

Q. Knowledge of which programming languages are generally preferred?

A. This depends on your choice of study. We advise you to check the overview information and for more detailed information click the link which will take you to the relevant University pages.

Q. Do you have any programmes on a part-time or flexible basis?

A. Yes we do, our faceted search tool allows you to search according to your language preference. There is also the option of ‘Flexible Learning’ at the UvA, you can find out more about this HERE.

Q. As a non-UvA or VU current student can I join an individual course, or do I have to be a current student?

A. There is the option of doing ‘contractonderwijs’ or ‘contract education’. Which means following a course of the regular education system within the Bachelor or Master. For VU Contractonderwijs find more information HERE. For UvA contract education options, or others, it best to contact the course coordinator and they can advise further if it is an option to follow a specific course.
